Changes to trains between Liskeard and Looe
Good afternoon,I'm getting in touch to let you know about our upcoming work on the railway between Liskeard and Looe.
Work takes place from Monday 8 to Friday 19 December to cut back overgrown trees and shrubs to keep the railway safe. During this time, buses will replace trains between Liskeard and Looe. Trains on the Cornish main line from Plymouth to Penzance are not affected.
Replacement buses will run between Liskeard, St Keyne village, Duloe village, Sandplace and Looe. Buses will not stop at Coombe Junction Halt and passengers here should contact GWR for taxis. Replacement buses won't run on Sunday 14 December, as trains do not run between Liskeard and Looe on Sundays over the winter.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but managing the trees and plants alongside our railway is essential for the safety of passengers and railway workers.
Further work affecting trains on the Looe Valley Line is also planned from Monday 23 February to Friday 6 March.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help.
Regards,
Alex
