Latest Community Speedwatch Update

Sessions were run in both directions through Widegates on the 10 October

This involved two teams, with SDO 31482 Mick Hinton in attendance.
The traffic flow was not particularly high, although there were a number of vehicles travelling between 35 and 41mph, including several that did not reduce their speed when they saw us.

The Cornwall Local Plan: Planning to 2050 - drop in sessions

Please see below information in relation to the forthcoming sessions, to be held in Liskeard and Saltash, regarding the development of the Local Plan.

The drop in sessions will be held on Tuesday 14th October and the web link provides an opportunity to reserve a place:

• Saltash Studios, Fore Street, Saltash 12pm to 3pm
• Liskerrett Centre, Liskeard 4pm to 7pm

A38 Saltash Tunnel technology upgrade

The Saltash Tunnel in Cornwall provides a key link between Plymouth and South-East Cornwall. We’re carrying out an extensive programme of work to update the technology in and around the tunnel to keep journeys safe and reliable, and reduce the risk of unplanned closures.

Harvest Festival at St Wenna's church 4 October 6.30 pm

There will also be a Harvest Family Service at 11am on Sunday 5th October, and on both occasions there will be collections for the local Foodbank and for the Red Cross Gaza Appeal.

Morval Parish Litter Pick

If you are concerned about the amount of rubbish that people are dropping and throwing out of vehicle windows, and you want to give the parish a 'spring clean', the parish council has available litter pick equipment for you to borrow. If you would like to organise an event, please contact the Clerk for details.
