A38 daytime lane closures for surveys (Sunday 25 Jan) from Tamar Bridge roundabout to Forder Valley
We’re carrying out essential surveys on the A38 between Tamar Bridge roundabout and Forder Valley.
These routine surveys help us to ensure that the region’s roads are fit for now and the future.Our works will also reduce the risk of future unplanned closures.
One lane will be closed in each direction on the A38 on Sunday 25 January (7.30am – 6pm) between Tamar Bridge roundabout and Forder Valley.
For a short period of time in the morning, the westbound lane closure will also extend up to the Marsh Mills junction.

Off Street Parking Order - 2026
2026 Off-Street Parking Places Order
Cornwall Council is proposing to make an amendment to the Off-Street Parking Places Order, and in doing so make some alterations to car park operations and charges. Attached is the formal notice which sets out the proposed changes.

Tamar Crossings press release - consultation to commence following extraordinary meeting
Tamar Crossings Joint Committee to commence public consultation on Tamar Tag admin fee
The Tamar Crossings Joint Committee met on Monday 12 January for an Extraordinary Meeting to consider proposals relating to the Tamar Tag monthly account administration fee. Members agreed that a public consultation and engagement exercise will be undertaken before any decision is made on changing the fee. During this period, the monthly admin fee will remain at 80 pence.

Latest Community Speedwatch Update
Sessions were run in both directions through Widegates on the 10 October
This involved two teams, with SDO 31482 Mick Hinton in attendance.
The traffic flow was not particularly high, although there were a number of vehicles travelling between 35 and 41mph, including several that did not reduce their speed when they saw us.

Harvest Festival at St Wenna's church 4 October 6.30 pm
There will also be a Harvest Family Service at 11am on Sunday 5th October, and on both occasions there will be collections for the local Foodbank and for the Red Cross Gaza Appeal.

Morval Parish Litter Pick
If you are concerned about the amount of rubbish that people are dropping and throwing out of vehicle windows, and you want to give the parish a 'spring clean', the parish council has available litter pick equipment for you to borrow. If you would like to organise an event, please contact the Clerk for details.
