Morval Parish Council

Success, at last, for two Morval projects

IT has taken years but two long-awaited Morval projects have come to fruition… and we’re not talking about playgrounds, here!

Morval Parish Council first called for some dropped kerbs on the Morview Road estate at Widegates in January 2022.

Now, some 20 months later, Cornwall Council has provided the facility to assist those with pushchairs, prams, mobility scooters and the like.

The good people of Morval, itself, have waited even longer for a new road sign to replace the ‘cardboard-like’ name-plate at Wringworthy which previously welcomed drivers and walkers to the hamlet. The new sign was also installed earlier this month.

Both projects were financed through Cornwall Council’s Community Networks Panel funds for small highways schemes.

After their August recess councillors meet again at the Village Hall, Widegates at 7.00 pm on Wednesday (September 4).

The agenda can be viewed at: https://www.morvalparishcouncil.org.uk/data/uploads/893_83300417.pdf

It includes an update on the Widegates play park; two planning applications; more on the 20-mph roll-out consultation and even a little nod to the upcoming Christmas!
