Widegates road to be shut for cabling works

STREET utility works being carried out by the Liskeard-based broadband provider, Wildanet, will result in the ‘cut through’ lane linking the A387 in Widegates to the B3252 Hessenford-Looe road being closed for a week next month.

Cornwall Council has applied for a 24-hour road closure from (near) Coombe Farm to Wilton Cottage, Widegates, and that will be in force from Wednesday, August 20, to Wednesday, August 27, weekdays only (so it should be open for the Bank Holiday weekend).

Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties, and vehicle diversions will be in place while the essential cabling laying is carried out.
